Michael Garvey is a New York City-based interior designer. Specializing in residential projects, his work reflects the sophisticated understanding of casual living that defines his approach.

With formal training in both sculpture and design, Garvey has a strong affinity for form, material, proportion and utility. His own tastes are expansive, embracing both traditional and modern elements, and MGI’s projects often feature a synthesis of the two, delivering to clients the most creative and tailored version of their own vision of “home.”

Garvey holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Michigan and a Masters Degree in Interior Design from The Pratt Institute; he also studied furniture design at Denmark’s National Design School in Copenhagen and interior design at the Kyoto- Seika University in Kyoto, Japan. He lives and works in New York City.
